The cities of Barcelona and Madrid will repeat again in 2016 one more year in the Top 10 of the ranking of cities with the largest number of professional meetings prepared by the Association of International Congresses and Conventions (ICCA).
According to the ICCA, Barcelona is the third international city with the largest number of meetings organized in 2016, with a total of 181 meetings, and repeated in the world podium meeting tourism in maintaining the position obtained in 2015 in the ranking .
For its part, Madrid is in seventh place tied with Amsterdam, with 144 professional events each.
This 2016, the city of Paris – with 196 congresses – tops the ranking, followed by Vienna – with 186.
By country, Spain ranks fifth, with 533 congresses, behind the United States (934), Germany (689), United Kingdom (582) and France (545).
