The Spanish Congress Centers improve quality and economic impact

The convention centers in Spain generated a big economic impact in 2012. 4 million people came to Spain to attend at least one of the 4,647 events that took place in the Spanish Centers. The result have been 1,300 million € of benefits, more than in 2011.

The Spanish Association of Congress Centers (APCE) has also published that the number of delegates has increased. The reason is that more than half of people who take part in conventions are not Spanish.

Moreover, not just international attendants are the majority, also international conventions, which increased from 30% to 51% in a year. As a result national events are now in the minority.

The ACPE has concluded that in order to continue succeeding they should differentiate from competitors. To achieve it, they believe that the key think is the innovation and the improvement of the quality of the Spanish Convention Centers.
