According to Michael Ohara, CMO of hte GSMA, “this year’s Mobile World Congress keynote speakers really reflect the continued expansion of the mobile ecosystem”.
For the Mobile World Congress that will be held once more in Barcelona is one of the most highlighted events concerning the area of telecom, it needs to focus on the relevance of its guests and speakers; the intention of the organization being that they will provide the widest variety of perspectives (from mobile opearators to infrastructure suppliers through application developers.
According to what has been published in sources such as The Mobile Marketing Magazine, Barcelona will be pleased to welcome in February Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt, Eelectronic Arts CEO Ron Riccitello, eBay president and CEP John Donahoe, and Nokia president and CEO Stephen Elop.
Besides those above heading the list; keynote speakers from the likes of Alcatel-Lucent CEO Ben Verwaayen, Sunil Mittal, CEO of Bharti Airtel, and HTC CEO Peter Chou among others had previously been announced as well.
This year’s event aims to focus on “how mobile is transfoming our world in unprecedent ways, changing the way we work, live and interact”, Mr. Ohara stated, and “highlight on the cutting-edge technologies redefining mobile today and into the future”. Hence, a much more mobile marketing and advertising focus featuring a brand new mPowered Brands programme aiming at building marketer’s knowledge and accelerating their use of mobile as a marketing medium.
Four different kinds of credential passes are available as to meet the needs of any of the attendees: the exhibition visitor pass allowing access to the exhibition halls but with no access either to the conference programme o keynote sessions; silver pass being a visitor’s pass with leadership conferences, gold pass which also includes access to the VIP Lounge and Congress Lunch and platinum pass allowing exclusive networking opportunities.
