Valeska Nawatzki, E&TB Group Sales Director, attended the EIBTM 2012. She explains us her experience on the most important event in the MICE industry and for sure, the company will repeat next year!
EIBTM tradeshow is a must event within the MICE industry and we take part on it every year. On this edition, and for the very first time, E&TB Group joined efforts and shared its booth with Cataluña Convention Bureau, who organized daily open activities for hosted buyers. We are proud of having been part of this exhibition, taking the opportunity to meet our clients face-to-face and building up stronger partnerships.
E&TB Group had very productive appointments with more than 30 agencies from different countries. We received a good number of requests during the fair. Most of them were interested in our agency because of our international staff from Germany, Italy, Russia and Bulgaria.
We made several new contacts with incentive houses and sports agencies, but as I like to say, it is not just about being on the fair. Nevertheless, you can’t expect that the right clients will contact you without any previous approach, showing always a high standard of professionalism and following up after the fair.
EIBTM organized more than 100 education seminars, but it was impossible for us to participate, as we had to take care of our clients.
Since we are a very active member of Site – I am in the board of Site Spain and I am Director of Communication for the Spanish Chapter – I took part in the Cocktail that Site Spain offered to its members and participated in the Site Chapter Leaders Meeting.
E&TB Group also supported Spain DMCs Awards with its presence where Airy Garrigosa (former Director of Barcelona CVB) was distinguished with the Award of Excellence.
Definitely, we will repeat on EIBTM next year!
We liked our first appearance on Catalunya Convention Bureau booth: we felt that they are very active, innovative, adapted to new technology and had a very original booth, where was easy to work in. We just have one suggestion: maybe next time the CCB could make the members interfere a little bit more when they do their activities with hosted buyers and so have the opportunity to meet some of them.
