The establishment, owned by Husa, has closed reservations for conventions in June. The cost of a room will be around 295 euros.
Late, but finally and after overcoming numerous financial and technical obstacles, the boat hotel from the finnish company Sunborn will dock at the port of the Forum in April 2012 and already has set aside contracts for June. A long journey of two months from the Malaysian city of Lumut, which has defined the ambitious hotel project, whose cost amounts are more than 150 million euros.
The arrival of this vessel, a five-star deluxe 140 meters in length, must be the big boost for this area of the city, after conclusion of the Forum of Cultures in 2004, has not yet managed to fill in felt this immense space facing the sea. In fact, those responsible for Sunborn and the second deputy mayor of Barcelona, Sònia Recasens, met last month to discuss the arrival of the boat next spring and discuss the possibilities of economic development forum, which would the creation of a commercial fabric in this area.
