The present crisis is strongly hitting Spain but there is a sector that is being shortly hurt by this economic situation: tourism.
According to the report published by the Spanish Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Spain will receive 15.5 million of international tourists during April, May and June. It is a very high number of visitors if we take in account that this year’s Easter has been in March, not in April.
Moreover, foreigner tourists will waste around 15,000 million of Euros in their Spanish stay, which means 420 more millions than in the same period of 2012. Therefore, shops, restaurants, hotels and other kind of establishments will gain more money than last year.
There is some more good news. The European Commission has said that if probably this year’s earnings are not vey higher, they will increase at least 1% in 2014. Spain will probably be one of the countries that will increase their earnings in the tourism sector.
