Barcelona is the third most requested European destination to hold meetings and events in 2014, according to the Global Meeting Forecast 2014 (made by the business travel agency American Express).

These are very good news for the Barcelona Tourism Sector, because holding meeting and events means receiving many tourists, who will stay in hotels, eat in restaurants, buy in shops…

Before Barcelona there are London (1st) and Paris (2nd), which are also the two most visited cities in Europe. After the Catalan city we find Amsterdam and Brussels, so Barcelona is the only Mediterranean city who is in the first positions of this ranking.

European cities are in the top of most requested meeting destinations, but in 2014 the number of meetings and events will not be higher than in 2013. Moreover, costs will be reduced 1’8%.

In the rest of the world these will be the most selected cities by continent:

North-America: Orlando, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and San Diego.

Central and South America: Rio de Janeiro, Cancun, Lima, Cartagena de Indias and San José.

Asia-Pacific: Shangai, Singapur, Sidney, Hong Kong and Macao.

Don’t wait anymore, contact E&TB Group to arrange your events in Spain!
