“Expanding the tourism sector beyond the city of Barcelona”. This has been the aim of the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT) for the MEET Catalunya event. E&TB Group has played its part there.
The Catalan agencies have welcomed more than 70 tour operators from the East of Europe, the former URSS, Israel and the Baltic Republics. All they are interested in holding events far from the great cities: they prefer the inland Catalonia to hold small events in a more intimate atmosphere.
The most important workshop at the MEET Catalunya took place at the headquarters of the well-known Cavas Codorniu Company, in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona, Catalonia). There were undertaken more than 1,700 interviews between the local agencies and the foreigner tour operators.
