Hoteles Catalonia will be opening the Hotel Catalonia Fira in the first quarter of 2012. Standing in the Plaza Europa, and next to the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, the hotel has been designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel and Ribas & Ribas All the advantages of nature in the middle of the city framed in one of Catalonia’s busiest trade fair areas, the Hotel Catalonia Fira surprises us all with its originality and design. It is made up of two 110 meter towers joined by a spectacular panoramic restaurant and a terrace-vantage point. Its 26 floors blend into a surprisingly visual vertical garden where palm trees and natural vegetation turn into architectural elements that make the hotel a genuine natural oasis.

Black and white plays an important role on the various building façades. This two-toned chromatic effect is also maintained in the 357 bedrooms. The hotel has 11 module-based meeting rooms on one floor, 140 car parking places, a panoramic restaurant, two bars, one on the terrace-vantage point, and a fitness area with an acclimatized indoor pool, a solarium and an outdoor pool. Practical design in quiet, comfortable bedrooms light, practicality and a surprising design greet the guests in each and every one of the 357 bedrooms. There are five types of bedrooms, fitted with all creature comforts and designed essentially for rest and relaxation. The 6 suites are on the top floor and blend into the vertical garden. They have an individual terrace with palm trees, a relaxation area offering spectacular views and leading edge technology including innovative details.
The hotel offers more than 1200 sqm of meeting rooms on one floor, where meetings, conferences, congresses or any other type of event can be held. The area is module-based and has a maximum capacity of more than 1000 people. The 11 rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, including fibre optics and Wi-Fi, and they are fully soundproof.
Palm trees and vegetation in a surprising Panoramic Restaurant
The Panoramic Restaurant is on the 14th floor and is the meeting point between the building’s two towers. It is surrounded by abundant vegetation and integrated into the vertical garden that grows on the hotel structure. This gourmet dining area offers spectacular panoramic views.
Terrace-Vantage Point at a height on the top floor of the hotel, standing at more than 100 metres high, we find this original leisure area. The Terrace-Vantage Point offers a spectacular 20 m. long outdoor pool, the hotel’s largest solarium and a bar where guests can enjoy the best cocktails and aperitifs. The 26-floor hotel is a magnificent place for enjoying the Mediterranean climate and some of the unbeatable views of the surrounding vegetation.

Hoteles Catalonia currently has 60 establishments: 52 hotels in Spain (4 of them in opening process), one in Brussels, 7 resorts in the Caribbean and one next opening in Budapest. It is currently the reference chain as regards Hotels in Barcelona, because with more than 2500 bedrooms, it heads the list of hotel offers in the city.
