Today we will speak about the Basque Country again. This time, though, not about Bilbao, but about San Sebastian. This city has been named as the fifth word best destination by Conde Nast Traveler, the prestigious North-American travel magazine.
Every year Conde Nast Traveler publishes the list of the 25 world best cities to be visited, in which the magazine readers can vote for the best one. This year San Sebastian, also called Donostia (the name in the Basque language), has been chosen as one of the best destinations by the readers because of its stunning coastline and its culinary offer.
In fact, San Sebastian is popular everywhere due to the gastronomy. Not just the Conde Nast Traveler readers have recognised it, but also the well-known gastronomic magazine Saveur, who have awarded San Sebastian as the city with less than 800.000 inhabitants that have “Best restaurants and Dining”. Saveur has considered this Spanish city as the “Choice of Experts”.
