Barcelona: a success in Tourism

One more year Barcelona is one of the main destinations in Europe. In the first semester of 2013 the number of tourists has increased and now Catalonia (with its capital, Barcelona, at the top) has the 27% of tourists of Spain.

However, the high number of visitors is not the only positive thing for Barcelona. The best point for the Catalan touristic sector is that tourists are happy with their stays in the city and with what the city offers.

The mark that visitors gave to Barcelona in 2012 is 8,41 out of 10, according to the publication of ‘Tourism statistics in Barcelona and Province’. Marks have improved in all key aspects asked in the survey, but architecture is the most appreciated with a 9,09 mark.

French tourists are the majority in Catalonia (more than 30%), and then English and German are also habitual visitors. Moreover, Russian and Scandinavian are more and more becoming common tourists in Barcelona.
