Eurovegas will be located in Madrid

Las Vegas European replica will be settle down in Spain: finally in Alcorcón, one of Madrid’s biggest suburb cities. Las Vegas Sands is an important resort operator in America’s gambling capital that will lead this huge project. Currently, the company owns a reproduction of Las Vegas in Macau and Singapore, among other resorts and hotels around the world.

Shleson Adelson is the ambitious owner of Las Vegas Sands, and he has always been focused on having a big project in Europe.

Finally, the project started to take shape after a long competition between Madrid and Barcelona’s regional governments, both interested in hosting the resort commonly known as Eurovegas.

The project will take up around 750 hectares. According to Las Vegas Sands, construction’s first phase will generate approximately 80,000 jobs. However, the president of Madrid’s government, Ignacio González, claimed that the whole project will create more than 250,000 new jobs and it will attract €17.000 million investment. “It will represent the biggest private investment in Europe’s history”, Gonzalez said.

According to Las Vegas Sands plans, Eurovegas will reach up to 12 hotels, 6 casinos, a convention centre, theaters and other entertainment areas. The foundation stone could be laid just before January 2013.
