Based on El Prat – Barcelona airport, the Spanish low cost airline Vueling will fly to 28 new destinations on 2013. With the additional routes, the company will embrace 100 different destinations on March. Thanks to the increase, Vueling becomes an excellent alternative for flying to Barcelona from a big number of European, African and even Asian airports.
London – Gatwick, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Turin are some of the most interesting cities Vueling will connect with Barcelona. Routes to other centre and north Europe airports are planned: for instance, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Bergen, Gothenburg or Oslo.
The Barcelona based airline is expanding his influence in Africa too. From March, routes between the Catalan city and Casablanca, Fez, Nador and Tangier will be released. Finally, Vueling will visit 4 new countries were it never landed before. Those countries are Bulgaria (Sofia), Finland (Helsinki), Luxembourg and Gambia (Banjul).
You can consult the complete number of Vueling’s new routes on the company’s website.
Besides, Vueling is improving the services it offers to business travellers. A new class, named ‘Excellence’, has been created: it will offer flexibility to change a booking, VIP seats, priority boarding and a points program, among other advantages.
With the new strategy, the airline expects to attract more than the 4.7 million visitors that landed in Barcelona on 2012 on a Vueling aircraft. Actually, nowadays the company operates around the 30% of the El Prat – Barcelona airport flights.
