The majority of the Russian tourists come from the ten largest cities in the country: Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Omsk, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Samara, and Astrahan.
How many days do they stay in Catalonia?
The average length of stay is 8.5 nights.
How they book their travel?
Almost all the Russian tourists (96%) who visit Catalonia book their trip through tour operators. In Spain there are currently 50 Russian tour operators.
How much money do they spend?
The Russian tourists who visit Barcelona and Catalonia have high purchasing power. Each visitor spends 125 euros per day, which means an average of 1,059 euros in the whole trip.
What do they like in Catalonia?
The Russian visitors like the Catalan beaches (60%), the historic places (36%) and the shopping (35%). The 61,9% of them come to Catalonia to visit Barcelona.
