The most important recent turning point for Barcelona has been the celebration of the Olympic Games in the city in 1992. PRE-OLYMPIC BARCELONA
- LA PEDRERA
This is one of Antoni Gaudi’s musts. La Pedrera, or Casa Milà (this is the official name), was built by the architect in late XIX century as a residential building for neighbors. Now is one of Barcelona’s main attractions.
- RAMON LLULL SCHOOL
You will not find this building in many touristic guides. Built in the XIX century, nowadays it is the Ramon Llull School.
POST-OLYMPIC BARCELONA
- DESIGN MUSEUM + AGBAR TOWER
Located in the 22@, the new commercial neighbor in Barcelona, these building are the latest ones built in the city.
PRE AND POST OLYMPIC FUSION
- LAS ARENAS MALL
This commercial centre has been placed in an old bull ring, after bullfighting has been banned in Catalonia
- BORN CENTRE CULTURAL
This a new cultural centre located where the ruins of the old Barcelona were founded.
