Madrid and Barcelona at the Mice Tourism Top 5

According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Madrid and Barcelona have kept their places in the top 5 of the European Mice cities.

Madrid has grown 7,5% in the last year, but the Spanish Capital City has decreased from the 2^nd to the 3^rd position of the ranking. This is because of the important growth of Paris, which is now in the first place of the world incentive cities. After Paris there is Viena, which had been in the first position of the ranking since 2005 to 2013.

Barcelona has also growth in the Mice Tourism Sector, but it has decreased one position in the ranking: from the 4^th one to 5^th one.

This is the current top 5: Paris (214 congresses) – Viena (202) – Madrid (200) – Berlin (193) – Barcelona (182).

Ranking of countries: USA (831) – Germany (659) – Spain (578).
